9A - TESTING THE HYPOTHESIS, PART 2

The "Who":
After interviewing more people about this subject. I found out there are many people who are not particularly interested in international travel. I found that many of those who I interviewed did not possess a passport, or if they did it was possibly expired. I also noticed many people were not too motivated to travel in case they needed to purchase or go through a visa process application to go to that country, or paying a reciprocity fee. I also found that there are particular persons that are terrified of getting into an airplane, especially when the route crossed through oceans or large seas.
The "What":
This is the most challenging part of the assignment, So far I have not been able to measure correct data in what is that people want. A strong luxurious airline that offers quality flight, broad options in terms of a cabin and carry-on luggage, newer aircraft, comfortable lounge areas, and top of the line food and entertainment services onboard. The other option is to create a low-cost airline in which the amenities are not as nice as other airlines, the prices are extremely low, and creates more interest of passengers who are very careful with the money they spent. With that said with the interviews I've done I have received perception of people wanting a low-cost airline, but they are mostly all college students on a budget. So I need to create more interviews in South America, and here to people with different demographics.
The "Why":
People deserve to have better options when traveling to South America. Big airlines like American Airlines, Delta, Latam, and Avianca have been controlling the routes and prices for decades. We must create more competition to lower prices and allow people who want to travel, to travel the way they deserve and they want. We want to change the airline industry.

                   Inside Boundaries           Outside Boundaries
WHO -Avid travelers that wish to explore South America.
-American families with a Latin background, that wish to travel to their home country.
-International companies with Latin American presence, or vice versa.
- People that are not able to travel abroad. Ex: No passport, or visa restrictions.
- People not interested in visiting South America.
- Those who cannot afford to travel.
- Those who fear air travel.

WHAT - Give these travelers a broader scope of options in which they can travel. Ex: More origins and destinations.
- Create competition in order to foment the air traffic between South America and the United States and Canada.
- Promote travel to South American Cities.
- By higher competition creating lower costs for those who before could not afford to travel internationally.
WHY - The airlines' choices perform a poor service and with extremely high prices. - Will have the ability to choose new destinations if they are eventually persuaded to travel.
