29A – VENTURE CONCEPT NO. 2

Venture:
Blankenese Airlines

Opportunity:
I see an opportunity in opening a new airline that is top in the airline industry. We want to serve Latin American cities that are often ignored. We want to offer a good service where the comfort of our clients and travelers is the most important feature. We want to provide our customers with a good array of inflight entertainment, new and top of the line aircraft, high-quality food and service, hassle-free booking and wiggle room for luggage and carry on.

Innovation:
We see that people are becoming more unhappy with the flying and traveling experience. We want to restore this concept by providing something never offered before. It seems now that traveling is more complicated than ever when in reality it should be a lot more simple, exactly how it was years ago. We will make a profit without the airline mainly due to the use of airplanes that are extremely self-sufficient and the operating costs are not too much. We will also charge more upfront but less after costs, with that said people, will choose us because they get more bang for the buck.

Venture Concept:
People will start choosing to fly with Blankenese Airlines because we will be offering the best loyalty program out there, we will also offer the newest line of aircraft because let's face it, nowadays no one wants to travel in an old and outdated aircraft. We have made some research and most of the flyers with Latin background usually take a lot of luggage so we will come up for allowing flyers a lot of comfort room when it comes to luggage, as a matter of fact, we want this to be the face of our marketing campaign. Where we are known as the airline that is cool with luggage limits and gives you a lot of room. Again, we want to make air travel pleasant again, not a hassle how it is now a day.

Three Minor Elements:
Unfair Advantage: My unfair advantage for this venture is the fact that I am fluent in 3 languages and 2 of those languages which are Spanish and English are the most important and are the languages most spoken in the cities where we would like to operate.

What's Next for Blankenese Airlines: For now I do not want to start developing anything too serious for now. I believe that this is a very competitive industry and there have been several cases of predatory pricing created by the large airlines. But do more research and become to get more thorough responses into what do people want, later we will want to see if the numbers are there to make a profit.

What's next for me: I want to focus on starting my early career in a company related tot he aviation industry, I believe by doing so I will be able to learn a lot in terms of the industry and see where I am really getting into. Learn, learn and keep on learning I believe this is key for success, as I also have no rush in starting the airline immediately.


Feedback:
In this occasion, people suggest that I have to learn more and maybe pursue a career in the aviation industry to get more familiar with what it takes to get there. I believe that they are right, these previous semesters I've attended a couple of information sessions of some of the best airlines in the country like Southwest and United Airlines. I believe that getting a job in a field that I am so passionate about it would be amazing.
