23A – YOUR VENTURE’S UNFAIR ADVANTAGE SUBMIT ASSIGNMENT

1) Cultural Experiences: Having lived in 3 different countries (Chile, Germany, and the United States) has made me gain tremendous international exposure. Also having the opportunity to live my own in Germany makes me grow a lot as an individual who knows what it is to live in a country that they don't speak your language and push you to the limits in every instance.
2) Trilingual: Being able to speak 3 languages is a resource I will have forever in which they can help me later down to the road. In this case, being able to speak Spanish and understand Portuguese are the key languages spoken in the countries where Blankenese Airlines would want to operate.
3) Monetary: Due to my father's loss I received some of his estate money and this can help me finance part initially my venture. Even though it is not a huge lump of money, money still has to be borrowed it is a little extra help I have.
4) Tolerance: I believe that I am a person that manages criticism and feedback in an extremely positive way. I think this is an important quality to have as it helps you build on the bad things to go on and create better and bigger things.
5) Social Skills: I am a person that is not afraid of meeting new people. I am an extrovert in that sense. I usually go up to people and have no fear of talking to strangers if that is needed. I also have good relationships with most of the people I know.
6) Ambitious: I consider myself an ambitious individual, I always seek excellence in what I do. I do not like things halfway done, I always push for perfection and land somewhere near it. This ambition could potentially push me through tough times.
7) Fundraising: I have experiencing creating fundraisers, during my tenure in high school with DECA and now in college with UF German Club I have done several fundraisers, in which this can help me when it comes to raising money for the venture.
8) Persistence: I usually never give up or at least very rarely, when I believe in something I have a strong drive for performing and excelling whatever I do. Therefore this makes me someone that is persistent and does not give up easily on tasks.
9) Public Speaking: I am comfortable with public speaking and I believe this is always a good resource to have to not be afraid of talking to a crowd. I know I could use more help in being more concise with the information I tell.
10) Industry knowledge: having been at many cities and different airports, I believe I have a good idea of what people want when it comes to traveling. I can use this knowledge for my venture with Blankenese Airlines in order to succeed.

I think that being fluent in Spanish and English which are the two main languages needed for my venture in terms of the cities where we plan to operate is key. I will be able to be hands-on and relate to things in an extremely professional and personal matter. I will also have the knowledge of German which might help down the road at some point.

From your blog, I can tell you have spent the time and the effort on your blog, and you have researched the market.
